In short

Fynda works without an account and without cookies. For visitor statistics we use Matomo on our own server, without cookies and with a shortened IP address. Your answers in the finder are processed in your browser only and are not sent to us.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you visit, the server stores technically necessary data in log files, such as IP address, time, page requested and browser type. This serves the secure operation of the site (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The logs are deleted after 7 days. A data processing agreement with the host is in place.

Storage in your browser

When you choose a country or units (cm/kg or in/lb), your browser remembers this choice in local storage. It never leaves your device and only serves to show you the view you asked for. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Fonts

The font is loaded from our own server. There is no connection to Google or other font providers.

Visitor statistics with Matomo

To understand which finders are used and where visitors stop, we use the open-source software Matomo. Matomo runs on our own web space at ALL-INKL.COM (stats.fynda.pro). The data is not passed on to third parties.

Matomo sets no cookies here and stores nothing on your device. It processes: pages visited, time, referring page, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language setting, approximate country and your IP address. The IP address is shortened by its last two blocks right away (for example 192.168.x.x) and only stored in that form, so a visit cannot be linked to you as a person. To group page views into one visit, Matomo forms a checksum from this data that changes daily.

In the finder we measure how far you get through the questions, whether you see matches and the result window, and which retailer link you click. We do not measure your answers themselves.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in statistical analysis to improve the service (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Raw data is deleted after 180 days at the latest; after that only aggregated figures without reference to individual visits remain.

Objection: if your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, nothing is measured. You can also object by email to the address above.

Clicks on retailer links

Links to retailers go through our own redirect (/go/). We count the click with time, offer and country. The click is also reported to our Matomo statistics with the same data as above (IP address stored shortened there).

Affiliate programmes

Some links are affiliate links, for example to Amazon. When you follow such a link you leave Fynda. The retailer or affiliate network may then set cookies on its own site to attribute a purchase to the referral. The respective provider is responsible for this and its privacy policy applies. We do not receive any personal information about you from them, only a statement of referred sales.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Please contact the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
